When is the best time to visit Uganda and Rwanda?
June to September and December to February generally offer the most comfortable trekking conditions. Green seasons bring lush forests, fewer visitors and exceptional birdlife.
How many nights should I spend?
Ten nights is an excellent starting point for combining gorillas, chimpanzees and safari landscapes without rushing. Allow longer for a fuller circuit.
Should I visit both Uganda and Rwanda?
Often, yes. Kigali can be a convenient gateway to Bwindi, combining Rwanda’s accessibility with Uganda’s wildlife diversity in a cross-border journey.
Is gorilla trekking physically difficult?
It can be. Trekking time depends on where the gorilla family is found, and the terrain can be steep and muddy. We help match travellers to suitable trekking sectors wherever possible.
