Brazil is not one wilderness.
Begin among the Pantanal’s rivers and wetlands, enter the deep green of Amazonia, discover the Atlantic Rainforest, then stand before Iguazu Falls. The contrast is what makes Brazil so rewarding.
Four places, chosen with purpose

Jaguars patrol the rivers, giant otters hunt in the waterways and hyacinth macaws cross the sky. As the dry season opens up the landscape, the Pantanal offers extraordinary opportunities to watch and photograph wildlife.

Waterways disappear into green. Macaws cross the canopy, monkeys call from above and pink river dolphins surface beside the boat. Every kilometre reveals another layer of life: a landscape to enter slowly.

Fragments of this ancient coastal forest shelter golden lion tamarins, toucans, hummingbirds, monkeys and sloths. Come for remarkable birding and species found nowhere else.

A vast system of waterfalls stretches through the Atlantic Rainforest. Water pours over cliffs in a spectacle of sound, spray and extraordinary scale.
From Brazil’s rivers, forests and open country.

Beyond the familiar
The Brazil we want you to discover stretches far beyond Rio. A jaguar slipping through Pantanal reeds. A howler monkey calling in Amazonia. An endemic bird moving through the Atlantic Forest. The sudden roar of Iguazu.
These are pieces of one of the most biodiverse countries on Earth, connected through a journey that gives each place time.
Before you go
For a wildlife-focused itinerary, particularly the Pantanal, the drier months are often preferred. But Brazil's different ecosystems have different seasonal rhythms, so the best time depends on your itinerary.
For a first wildlife-focused journey, 10 to 14 nights is a good starting point. More time allows you to combine the Pantanal and Amazonia without rushing.
The Pantanal is the natural centrepiece of a Brazil jaguar journey.
Absolutely! It is not an African safari in a different location. The wildlife, landscape and experience are fundamentally different. Amazonia is about immersion in a forest ecosystem rather than watching large mammals on open plains.
Exceptional! Brazil’s extraordinary geographic and ecological diversity makes it one of the world’s great birding countries.
Yes! Particularly if this is your first journey to Brazil. The falls are one of the planet’s great natural spectacles, and the surrounding Atlantic Forest adds another wildlife dimension.
Yes! And this is one of the most rewarding combinations for a serious wildlife traveller. The two ecosystems are dramatically different.
Brazil’s size means domestic logistics need to be planned intelligently. The right combination of flights, road journeys and boats can make a multi-region journey surprisingly seamless.
Very much so! The luxury comes through private experiences, exceptional lodges, expert guides, efficient logistics and the freedom to spend time where the wildlife is.
Because Brazil is too large for a generic itinerary. We craft around season, species, ecosystem and pace, then select the right accommodation and local expertise to make the journey work.
